The International Tax and Investment Center (ITIC) and Euromonitor Business Consulting Services are co-hosting an International Conference on the Shadow Economy and Taxation, which brings senior tax policy, tax administration and customs officials from a wide range of Eurasian countries together with expert speakers from the OECD, WCO, Interpol, Europol, private-sector specialists, and academics to address the links between the shadow economy, tax evasion and illegal trade. Linkages include economic development, international trade costs and barriers, law enforcement, health policies, intellectual property rights, and government revenue protection.
